Tungsten carbide coated model
A low-profile clamp with tungsten carbide-coated contact surfaces. These workholding clamps are an excellent choice when:
- Clearly visible clamping marks are not allowed in the workpiece but high friction is still needed.
- Thin-walled workpieces are being machined.
These jaws create required holding force with less clamping force whilst preventing distortions of the workpiece while clamping. The tungsten carbide-coated jaw has a friction coefficient of 0.28 against steel, which is nearly doubled compared to smooth jaws with a friction coefficient of 0.15 against steel.
