Bushing for stud bolt installation

Normally OK-VISE low-profile clamps are installed using a hex bolt.

However, in some cases using a stud bolt for fastening is more practical. For example, when the clamp has to be fastened to a plate where the thread is relatively short, the thread may wear down when a standard bolt is used.

When a stud bolt with a special OK-VISE bushing and a hex nut are used, only the thread that is in the stud bolt might wear down. When this happens, the stud bolt is easy to replace.

Another reason to use this type of fastening can be to minimize the sortiment of power tools that is used in fastening various clamps in the factory.

Bushings have been designed for B-, D- and F-series clamps.
